Following the successful supervision and evaluation of private high schools at the municipal level and the award of the honor of "small academician" to seven students of our school in the 14th China Academy of Juvenile Sciences, the sixth annual conference of environmental education was held in Tianjin on Jan. 8. and our school was awarded the title of "National School of Ecological Civilization Education with Characteristics". ” Liu Yongming was awarded the honorary title of "National Innovative Person in Ecological Civilization Education".

He Jiazhen, Deputy Director of the Department of Publicity and Education of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Zhu Danqi, Chief Editor of China Environmental Publishing Group, Lu Wenlong, Deputy Director of Tianjin Ecological Environment Bureau, Wu Guoqiang, Deputy Director of School Planning and Construction Development Center of the Ministry of Education, Mei Xueqin, Director of Green World Public History Research Center of Tsinghua University, and other experts and scholars, as well as more than 400 outstanding principals, teachers'representatives and parts from all over the country Excellent business representatives exchanged ideas on how to carry out environmental education in the new era and shared their experiences in environmental education.

The annual meeting of environmental education is sponsored by the Chinese Journal of Environmental Education, which is in charge of the Ministry of Ecological Environment of the People's Republic of China. The theme of this conference is to consolidate the ecological environment education and build the foundation of green development. At the meeting, Deputy Director He Jiazhen, Department of Publicity and Education, Ministry of Ecological Environment, delivered an opening speech.

He Jiazhen, deputy director, said: With the active participation and joint promotion of all sectors of society, the awareness of ecological environment of citizens in China has been significantly enhanced, and positive results have been achieved in promoting the protection of ecological environment. However, efforts should be further strengthened in school environmental education and social environmental education, so as to promote people to change their conscious behavior and make green production and lifestyle become people's action consciousness.

Representatives of the invited units fully exchanged experiences and addressed the General Assembly. They expressed that they would attach importance to the education of ecological civilization, popularize environmental protection knowledge and promote public participation.

It is reported that the Nineteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out that priority should be given to the development of education, and a series of new ideas and requirements have been put forward for the construction of ecological civilization and the protection of ecological environment. For a long time, schools have attached great importance to the education of ecological civilization, carried out various forms of ecological civilization education activities for a long time, and strived to build a green low-carbon campus and cultivate a green campus culture.

It is important to persevere in the simplicity of the avenue. We firmly believe that it is the duty of schools in the new era to attach importance to the establishment of green schools and strengthen the cultivation of students'green citizens.
